About Senior Interior Designer: The Senior Interior Designer plays a key role in creating innovative and guest-focused design solutions for select-service and full-service hotels, as well as multifamily projects. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple brands and participate in every phase of the design process-from concept development and space planning through project execution, construction administration, and final installation. Key Responsibilities and Competencies Include:- Project Design & Planning
- Manage design projects with increasing independence while working under the direction of senior designers.
- Understand hospitality design principles and apply them to projects.
- Stay informed of hospitality industry trends and evolving design standards.
- Develop space plans using hand sketches or CAD.
- Visualize and design spaces, including furniture, finishes, and interior architectural elements.
- Analyze project scope and budgets and, with senior staff input, adjust designs to meet project requirements.
- Design Development & Documentation
- Prepare design presentations for Ownership and Brand representatives using sketches, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and other presentation tools.
- Develop and prepare FF&E specifications using the SPEXX program.
- Prepare construction documents, including plans, elevations, millwork drawings, material selections, and specifications.
- Perform field verification and maintain supporting documentation.
- Accurately complete quantity take-offs and project budgets.
- Vendor & Brand Coordination
- Maintain strong relationships with local and national vendors for furniture, fabrics, and architectural materials.
- Select furniture, finishes, and materials appropriate for each project.
- Communicate with Brand design representatives and track design approvals.
- Coordinate regularly with purchasing and project management teams throughout project execution.
- Project Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with project managers, hotel engineers, architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide clear direction and effectively communicate design concepts and project updates.
- Gather information required for project documentation and implementation.
- Construction Administration
- Develop an understanding of construction methods, procedures, building codes, and accessibility requirements.
- Participate in construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, shop drawing reviews, and responses to RFIs.
- Attend project pre-bid meetings and FF&E installations.
- Lead or participate in weekly project conference calls when serving as the senior designer on a project.

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree for interior design or architecture with a minimum 10 years of experience
- Two (2) years of experience in interior design within the hospitality industry - required
- NCIDQ certification is strongly preferred
- Comfortable with personal responsibility and accountability and embraces open communication and collaboration
- Possess professional poise and polish, and demonstrate flexibility and the ability to communicate both verbally and graphically to many personality types
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint and Photoshop) and SPEXX
- Knowledge of Spitfire to analyze budgets

Physical Requirements (In-Office Role)- Ability to work in a standard office environment.
