Senior Interior Designer - Chicago Interiors Studio - Chicago Interiors Based in Chicago, our Interior Design studio is an award-winning collection of boundary-pushing designers who deliver artful interiors through contextual research, inspiration and a storytelling process that brings a client's vision to life in line with user demand. This team often works with our other studios across the country to realize a comprehensive vision of the built environment for our clients; from boutique hotels to sprawling resorts, from restaurants and bars to theme parks, and all forms of multifamily residential. This team loves to celebrate together, contributing to some of our most memorable after-work events. Your Impact In a self-directed manner, independently performs assignments with instructions as to the general results expected from Project Leaders. Leads design in CAD format (AutoCAD or Revit) and presentation materials. Leads and participates in efforts required to produce a set of Construction Documents and FF&E Specifications, namely the research, communication, and documentation required to execute the project effectively. Exercises creative judgment and design application skills in preparing client presentation materials, including graphic sketches, renderings, graphics, and the selection of colors, materials, finishes, and furniture. Experienced in all phases and aspects of the design process, including predesign, design documentation, FF&E specifications, construction administration, and procurement. Collaboration Meets regularly with the Project Leader to discuss design direction, general tasks, project challenges, schedules, upcoming client meetings, and deadlines. Communicates employee development of junior designers to senior management. Leads design efforts and coordination with consultants throughout the design process. Leads and conducts quality control measures in the development of FF&E specifications, budgets, documentation, and material boards as directed by senior management. Care Balances the scales of design exploration with project feasibility to deliver cohesive design solutions. Takes immediate responsibility for guiding and mentoring junior staff at the project level. Partnership Supports and complements senior management at client presentations and meetings. Participates in industry events, forums, and conferences as required. Acts as the day-to-day client contact for project design development and design-related issues. Leads design efforts and coordination with consultants throughout the design process.
