Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Industrial Automation Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of large-scale robotic automation systems. This role focuses on delivering robust, safe, and scalable electrical designs for complex robotic workcells operating in high-throughput environments. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams and play a key role throughout the full product lifecycle-from concept and design through field deployment and support.

You would be responsible for electrical system architecture, integration, and troubleshooting for large fulfillment workcell robots. This position is critical to ensuring system reliability, performance, and compliance in operational settings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design electrical connections inside industrial electrical AC/DC and DC/DC cabinets (voltages in the 100 to 600 VAC and 5 to 60 VDC ranges)
  • Design and develop electrical systems for large fulfillment workcell robots, including power distribution, motor control, and sensor integration
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues in deployed robotic systems to minimize downtime and optimize performance
  • Create detailed electrical control panel schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation following industry best practices
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and controls engineers to integrate electrical systems into complete robotic solutions
  • Conduct design reviews, failure analysis, and root cause investigations for electrical system issues
  • Define electrical specifications and requirements for new robotic workcell designs
  • Support manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of robotic systems at fulfillment centers

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

PLUSES TO HAVE
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with large-scale industrial automation or material handling systems
  • Knowledge of PLCs, industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Profinet, etc.)
  • Experience with low and high voltage systems in robotic applications
  • Familiarity with EMC/EMI design considerations
  • Experience supporting field deployments and troubleshooting in operational facilities
