Full Job Description
The Senior Human Resources Manager provides advanced professional HR expertise, independent advisory leadership, and broad problem-solving support for a complex, multi-site healthcare operating environment. The Senior Human Resources Manager works independently assessing business needs, diagnosing complex workforce issues, advising leaders on risk-balanced people decisions, and driving HR priorities from assessment through sustained execution. The role applies broad functional expertise across colleague relations, policy interpretation, performance management, leader coaching, workforce planning, engagement, talent development, organizational effectiveness, vendor governance, and change leadership. Also responsible for translating Hartford HealthCare enterprise policies, programs, and practices into practical, compliant, and business-relevant operating approaches, including local workflows, guidance, implementation plans, and escalation pathways. Influencing leaders across clinical, operational, and administrative areas, partners with HHC Centers of Excellence to shape and deploy integrated HR solutions and serves as the business-facing owner for HR coordination, complex issue resolution, vendor service performance, and people-related integration work. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required Experience: Seven years of progressive Human Resources experience, including advanced colleague/employee relations, senior-level leader consultation, policy interpretation, performance management, broad HR generalist responsibilities, workforce planning, vendor governance, cross-functional HR coordination, and independent ownership of complex HR matters in a matrixed environment.
