SUMMARY

Mortenson is seeking Senior HR Business Partner to align HR strategies with business goals, support multiple businesses, and drive key talent and people-focused initiatives in collaboration with leadership.

As a true HR practitioner, you have an innate sense of curiosity, enjoy learning all there is to know about the business and the groups you support and leveraging that knowledge to guide and influence leaders. You're adept at balancing the HR and business agenda, while building connections to foster strategic partnerships to drive results.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the HR Business Partner for assigned business groups, working closely with Company Leaders in driving major people & talent-related initiatives
  • Lead an HR Process Improvement initiative related to the partnership between HRBPs, Centers of Excellence, and HR Operations
  • Support leaders and team members on people management issues by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating, and implementing potential solutions, and coaching/counseling leaders and team members
  • Support the team with various special projects such as process simplification, policy rollouts, or leading high-performing team sessions
  • Be the focal point for the deployment of core HR processes such as compensation planning, performance reviews, and other HR initiatives


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Labor Relations, or related field or equivalent related work experience
  • 6 - 8 or more years of Human Resources or relevant work experience
  • Leverage your knowledge of Human Resources practices, including but not limited to Talent Management, Employee Relations, Compensation, and Project Management.
  • Have strong attention to detail/accuracy and written communication skills
  • Possess excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrate effective oral communication and active listening skills and are comfortable interacting with a variety of individuals via various methods (in-person, phone, email)
  • Be a team player with a positive and professional attitude and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to drive results in a fast-moving and constantly changing environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - able to prepare and analyze HR reports, translate data into leader recommendations to take appropriate action
  • Ability to lead and manage projects independently
  • Ability to travel up to 20-30%

The base pay range for this role is $105,300 - $158,000. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
