Job Title: Senior Client Non-Stop Administrator

Location: Onsite - Philadelphia, PA
Work Hours: Between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM EST (Standard 8 hours Shift)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Client Non-Stop Administrator to support mission-critical train control systems. This role is essential for ensuring the stability, performance, and 24/7 availability of HPE Non-Stop (Tandem) systems that support real-time dispatching and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain HPE Non-Stop systems in both production and development environments.
  • Monitor system health, availability, and performance to ensure continuous uptime.
  • Perform system startups, shutdowns, cold loads, and recovery procedures.
  • Configure and enforce system security policies and manage user access.
  • Analyze system metrics and proactively tune performance using tools like MEASURE.
  • Implement backup strategies and disaster recovery procedures; test recovery scenarios.
  • Apply OS patches, firmware updates, and software upgrades.
  • Coordinate change management and release cycles.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams for deployments and integrations.
  • Provide support for escalated incidents (Severity 1 and 2) and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and off-hours maintenance windows.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, runbooks, and configuration records.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with HPE Non-Stop (Tandem) systems.
  • Proficiency in Client, OSS, and utilities such as FUP, SCF, and TACL.
  • Strong scripting skills in TACL for automation.
  • Experience with Enscribe file structures, Pathway server configuration, and NetBatch.
  • Familiarity with Event Management System (EMS) and network administration (CLIM, IP configuration).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • HPE NonStop technical certification.
  • 10+ years of experience in HPE Non-Stop administration.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatching systems.
  • Knowledge of NonStop SQL/MP and SQL/MX.
  • Exposure to hybrid integration models (e.g., REST APIs, iTPWebServer, NSHTTP).
  • Experience working under strict SLAs and regulatory standards.

Additional Information:
  • This is an onsite role based in Philadelphia, PA.
  • Candidates must be available for offsite software installations as needed.
  • The position supports a capital and reimbursable project under a high-availability infrastructure initiative.
