General Overview Wideband Systems, Inc. seeks a dedicated and experienced hardware engineer to take on multiple roles in product development. Tasks include (but not limited to) system level design and project management, board level hardware development, embedded firmware and software development, and hands-on test & debug. Good communication and interpersonal skills are highly desirable, as well as a tenacious mindset to solve difficult and challenging issues.
This position is to be filled onsite in Silver Spring, MD. No employer visa sponsorship is available. Responsibilities - System design & project management
- Develop C applications for embedded systems
- Develop FPGA firmware for embedded systems
- Design & debug analog/digital/RF circuits for custom boards
Required Qualifications - BSEE or equivalent
- 10+ years of combined experience in:
- System design & project management
- C/C++ programming
- Hardware design (specifications, component research & selection)
Preferred Qualifications (in order of priority) - FPGA/SoC, VHDL
- Embedded Linux
- Board layout (Cadence OrCAD/Allegro tools)
- C/C++/GUI development in PC domain
- Experience with telemetry applications
This position may require exposure to information, which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e., the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
