Full Job Description
Senior Growth Creative Specialist (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)

Overview:

The Senior Growth Creative Specialist is a hands-on, AI-native maker embedded full-time inside the Growth organization, sitting with the channel owners who run paid media and lifecycle rather than in a separate creative department working from a ticket queue. This person is the creative engine for growth: taking a performance brief, raw footage, or photography and turning it into finished, on-brand, high-performing assets across paid social and display, motion cutdowns, video, GIFs, AI-generated UGC, email design, push and in-app copy, landing page visuals, and campaign collateral.

The role requires genuine range across three crafts - copywriting, design, and motion - paired with fluency in generative AI tools used as an accelerant rather than a shortcut. Output must be distinctive and polished, never templated or obviously AI-generated, and must hold a high bar for brand consistency and compliance in a heavily regulated category. The Senior Growth Creative is fully integrated into the team's test-and-learn cycles: producing variant sets, reading performance results alongside the channel owners, and iterating on winners so that creative velocity is never the bottleneck. Because this seat is embedded rather than downstream, this person is in the room when campaigns are shaped - and shapes them. This is a builder's seat for someone who wants to define how modern, AI-first growth creative is produced.

The impact you'll make:
  • Build paid media creative that performs. Concept, write, design, and animate finished, professional-quality ad assets end-to-end - statics, animated/motion, video, GIFs, and AI-generated UGC - sized, versioned, and specced correctly for Meta, Google Display and Demand Gen, YouTube, TikTok, X, app install, and other biddable and programmatic placements.
  • Own lifecycle and CRM creative. Design email templates and campaign sends, write push and in-app notification copy, and build modular assets the lifecycle team can deploy at speed.
  • Operate as the dedicated creative engine for testing cycles. Rapidly generate variants across hooks, formats, and messaging, and iterate on winners so creative throughput never limits the pace of testing.
  • Leverage generative AI across the production pipeline. Use image, video, motion, and UGC generation tools to produce slick, on-brand assets faster than traditional workflows, applying design judgment so the output is distinctive rather than templated or obviously AI-generated.
  • Turn raw capture into usable assets. Take contracted photo and video and edit, cut, caption, animate, and finish it into channel-ready work.
  • Write. Headlines, ad copy, subject lines, CTAs, push copy, and landing page copy - short-form, sharp, and in our voice.
  • Design and animate. Static and motion: storyboards, kinetic type, product motion, transitions, and sound-off-first editing.
  • Sit inside the growth cadence. Join channel planning and performance reviews, help decide what is worth testing next, translate performance briefs and test read-outs into concrete creative, and feed learnings back into the next production round.
  • Maintain brand consistency and a high quality bar across all output, working within brand guidelines and messaging frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance. Meet platform-policy and regulatory requirements for a restricted category, including state-by-state messaging constraints and platform restrictions on cannabis advertising.
  • Build systems, not one-offs. Create and maintain efficient, repeatable production workflows - prompt libraries, templates, component libraries, asset naming, and versioning - so output scales without scaling headcount or sacrificing quality.
  • Manage throughput and prioritization across multiple concurrent tests, channels, and campaigns, keeping turnaround fast and predictable.
  • Partner with Media Operations on asset trafficking, tagging, and organization so creative flows cleanly into campaigns and reporting.
  • Stay current on generative AI tools, emerging formats, and platform creative best practices, continuously improving the team's production capability.
  • Help establish standards, guardrails, and governance for AI-assisted creative production, including responsible use, licensing, and rights considerations for generative and synthetic assets.
  • Flex to what the business needs. Some weeks that is a social campaign, an event, a sales one-pager, or a partner deck.

What you've accomplished:
  • 4+ years building digital creative for a consumer brand, at a growth/performance agency, or as a high-volume freelancer, with a portfolio demonstrating strong craft across static, motion/animated, and video formats.
  • Genuine range across three crafts: copywriting, design, and motion. We do not expect world-class in all three - we expect strong in two and fully competent in the third, with a portfolio that proves it.
  • Demonstrated paid media work: the ability to show ads you made, the channels they ran on, and ideally how they performed.
  • Real lifecycle/CRM experience - email design and build, push and in-app messaging. HTML/CSS for email, or basic front-end familiarity for landing pages.
  • Demonstrated hands-on fluency with generative AI creative tools (image, video, motion, and UGC generation) and the judgment to produce polished, brand-safe output rather than raw AI results.
  • Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere) and Figma.
  • Working understanding of how creative is tested and optimized in paid media - variants, iteration, and what makes an ad perform.
  • Ability to work fast in a high-volume, iterative testing environment without being sloppy, holding quality while shipping volume.
  • Self-directed: able to take a one-line brief, ask the two questions that matter, and come back with work.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort operating as an embedded partner within a performance-driven team, working close to the numbers. Performance feedback on your creative reads as useful information, not criticism.

Bonus points:
  • Experience in cannabis, marketplaces, or local commerce.
  • Experience producing creative for Meta and other paid social platforms, including UGC-style and short-form video, plus creator-content editing chops.
  • Working knowledge of ad platform policy constraints and creative compliance in a regulated or restricted category (cannabis, alcohol, health, finance).
  • Experience building prompt libraries, templates, or automated/AI-assisted production workflows.
  • Familiarity with performance-creative concepts (hooks, formats, creative testing frameworks) and creative analytics tools.
  • Awareness of licensing, rights, and responsible-use considerations for generative and synthetic media.
  • Comfort with a fast-moving, ambiguous, build-from-scratch environment.
  • Comfort with a range of creative and generative AI tools, and a habit of exploring new ones as the landscape shifts. The examples below are illustrative, not a checklist, we don't expect expertise in all of them:
    • Design & motion: Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere) and Figma.
    • AI image: e.g. Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Ideogram.
    • AI video & motion: e.g. Runway, Google Veo, Sora, plus AI-assisted editing/captioning (Descript, CapCut, Opus Clip).
    • AI UGC & avatars: e.g. HeyGen, Arcads, Creatify.
    • AI copy & ideation: e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, including building reusable prompts.

The base pay range for this position is $100,000 - $121,562 per year, and a competitive bonus
