What you'll be able to do:
Senior Global Supply Chain Manager - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Palo Alto, California). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite. Provide strategic oversight and direct leadership to a high-performing team of global supply managers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Develop, champion, and implement long-term, visionary global purchasing and sourcing strategies that are intricately aligned with Ford's overarching business objectives, including future product roadmaps and sustainability goals. Strategically manage a large, complex portfolio of critical categories/commodities like displays, switches and accessories, ensuring aggressive cost optimization, proactive risk mitigation, and building unparalleled supply chain resilience and agility through innovative approaches. Pioneer the development and implementation of cutting-edge cost models, negotiation strategies, and advanced forecasting techniques to drive significant financial advantages and market leadership. Cultivate and manage critical, strategic supplier relationships at an executive level, fostering deep collaboration, co-creation, and driving breakthrough innovation from the supply base. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate complex supply chain risks, including geopolitical shifts, environmental factors, technological disruptions, and market volatility, implementing innovative risk management solutions. Domestic and International Travel Required up to 30%.
Qualifications
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 4 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Advanced data analysis tools, including Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and macros) and Tableau. 2. End-to-end procurement processes, including supplier identification, request for information (RFI) and request for quotation (RFQ) execution, bid evaluation, cost benchmarking, total landed cost modeling, and purchase order management. 3. Contract negotiation and long-term supply agreements. 4. Supplier development activities, including capability assessments, cost-reduction initiatives, supplier scorecards, and continuous improvement programs. 5. Manufacturing processes, including injection molding, stamping, machining, die casting, and assembly. 6. Leading cross-functional sourcing and industrialization projects using project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall). 7. Ability to conduct should-cost analysis and root cause analysis (RCA) for supply chain disruptions. 8. Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies related to supplier capacity, quality, and logistics. 9. Conducting end-to-end development, cascade, maintenance and executive level reporting of critical L1/L2 KPIs for Design Material Cost. 10. Leading system modernization workstreams and developing interactive dashboards including Qliksense and Power BI for clear data communication, enhanced transparency to provide improved data accessibility and driving efficiency for strategic initiatives. 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. International trade regulations, customs clearance procedures, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification, country-of-origin requirements, and Incoterms (FOB, DDP, and EXW) for cross-border shipments.
We are offering a salary of $226,580.52 - $268,300.08/yr.
