Duties, Responsibilities & Other

The Senior Geologist provides advanced geologicalexpertiseto leadhigh-impact remedial actions for both public and private clients. This role involves leadingenvironmental site assessments, interpreting subsurface data, guidinggeologicalfield programs,remedial design,and mentoring junior geologists. The Senior Geologist plays a critical role in project planning, technical analysis, and strategic decision-making.This person must be a licensed Professional Geologist (P.G.).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage geological field investigations, mapping, sampling, and data collection programs, including environmental siteassessments (Phase II ESAs).
  • Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to developaccuratesubsurface models.
  • Oversight of multi-media sample collection and processing 6 soils, groundwater, surface water, vapor, etc.
  • Prepare and review geological reports, technical documentation, and regulatory submissions.
  • Operation & maintenance of remediation facilities
  • Responsible for data tabulation and management, environmental data interpretation, map development, specification development, remediation design, cost estimating, and report writing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations during field and office activities.
  • Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, clients, or regulatory agencies.
  • Train and mentor junior geologists on the team.
Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Required:

  • Bachelors degree inGeology,Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or Geography or related
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and must be a licensed Professional Geologist (P.G.).
  • Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating,schedulingand monitoring projects.
  • A track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related toenvironmentalconstruction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability toidentifyissues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
