GHD has an excellent opportunity for Senior Hydrologist in any of our Southern California offices (Irvine, Long Beach, Los Angeles or San Diego). You will have the opportunity to focus on various areas of expertise including water resources, hydrology and hydraulics, storm water and flood management, engineering research, GIS analyses, design plans, specification writing and construction cost estimating.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
  • Insights and Reporting: Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
  • Solutions Analysis: Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature.
  • Geoscientific Studies and Interpretations: Contribute to well proposals by analyzing and interpreting geological/geophysical field data.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve them, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
  • Client & Customer Management (External): Manage relationships with small clients while also helping senior colleagues manage relationships with larger key clients and customers.
  • Simulation and Modeling: Deliver the design and execution process of increasingly complex simulations or models, ensuring accurate and relevant output.
  • Exploration Plan Development: Provide the design of exploration programs, including risk assessment and budgeting.
  • Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Preparation: Gather information and resources, and draft and complete standard requests for bid solicitation requests for proposal (RFP) and requests for tender (RFT) on the requester side..
  • Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
  • Community of Practice Management: Participate in a community of practice in a defined area of expertise or consulting to begin to build own expertise.

Experience

Salary Range: $69,000- $116,000 based on experience and location
