Responsibilities

  • Prepare PPE roll-forwards, including additions, transfers, retirements, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Manage CIP/AUC balances, tracking projects and overseeing capitalization and transfers to fixed assets.
  • Establish compliant asset-disposal procedures in collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Coordinate periodic physical counts and reconcile results with the fixed asset subledger and general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and journal entries for PPE, prepaids, AP, and accrual liabilities.
  • Review invoices to determine appropriate capitalization or expense treatment.
  • Monitor prepaid balances and manage amortization schedules for timely expense releases.
  • Support audits, SOX controls, and quarterly and annual reporting requirements.

Job Description:

The Senior General Ledger Analyst will own key general ledger activities for property, plant and equipment (PPE), construction in progress (CIP/AUC), prepaid expenses, accounts payable, and accrual liabilities. This role supports the monthly close, maintains accurate asset records, strengthens accounting controls, and partners with Facilities, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and external auditors.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare PPE roll-forwards including additions, transfers, retirements, disposals, depreciation, and month-end reconciliations.
  • Manage CIP/AUC balances, including project tracking, capitalization, in-service dates, transfers to fixed assets, and depreciation. Review asset-clearing accounts and resolve aged or unmatched items with business partners.
  • Establish and maintain compliant asset-disposal procedures in partnership with Facilities, Tax, Legal, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate periodic physical counts and reconcile results to the fixed asset subledger and general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and journal entries for PPE, prepaids, AP, and accrual liabilities, etc.
  • Review invoices and supporting documentation to determine capitalization, prepaid, or expense treatment.
  • Monitor prepaid balances and amortization schedules, including timely release to the appropriate expense accounts.
  • Support close, audit, SOX controls, and quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
  • Identify process improvements and help implement efficient ERP and fixed-asset accounting solutions.


The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.
