Fund Control & Operations (US Funds) sits at the intersection of accounting, investment operations, risk management, technology, and innovation, playing a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of Wellington's Funds and supporting exceptional outcomes for our clients. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated professional to work on complex and evolving investment products while partnering with senior leaders across the firm to drive operational excellence, strengthen controls, and lead transformative initiatives.
The Senior Fund Controller is a highly skilled accounting, operational, and technology professional responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and control of fund accounting, valuation, performance, and operational activities across mutual funds, collective investment trusts, interval funds, hedge funds, private funds, and other investment products.
This role serves as a subject matter expert and trusted business partner, combining fund accounting knowledge with advanced analytical, operational, and technology capabilities. The Senior Fund Controller independently manages complex issues, leads projects, oversees third-party service providers, and drives process improvement and automation initiatives that enhance scalability, control effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
The position collaborates extensively with Technology, Fund Administrators, Custodians, Transfer Agents, Treasury, Valuation, Security Operations, Security Valuation, Internal Audit, and external auditors to deliver well-controlled, scalable processes that support investment operations and protect shareholder interests.
