About the role...Archive is hiring a
Senior Fullstack Engineer. This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role on a small, meeting-light team that operates without a traditional product manager. You'll own features end to end, ship quickly, and help set the bar for how we build in an AI-native world.
Our day-to-day engineering workflow is AI-first: we build with tools like Claude and Devin as a normal part of how we work. You don't need to have worked in a fully AI-native environment before; what matters is genuine enthusiasm for building with AI and the judgment to use it well.
ResponsibilitiesBuild across the stack- Own fullstack features end-to-end, from design through release through maintenance, across a modern stack; true comfort on the backend is key
- Develop and maintain robust integrations (payments, gift cards, and beyond), building reliable, production-quality systems
Own it and collaborate- Take real ownership in a flexible, fast-evolving environment with light process and no traditional Product Manager
- Collaborate cross-functionally to turn needs into shipped outcomes
- Share in the engineering on-call rotation (incident response and support)
Debug and strengthen the system- Debug production issues across multiple levels of the stack
- Make pragmatic architecture and system design calls, balancing speed, scale, reliability, and maintainability
Build AI-first- Use AI tools like Claude as a force multiplier across your workflows, with good judgment about where to trust them and where not to
- Help the team level up its AI-native development practices and set the bar for how we build in an AI-default world
Requirements- A strong track record as a fullstack engineer with production experience across frontend and backend services, comfortable owning a feature end to end
- An AI-first dev workflow: you are ready and excited to build, review, and debug with AI coding tools and agents as a default, and can show how it makes you faster-and where you choose not to rely on it
- Bias towards action in a fast-moving, small-team environment: you ship, iterate, and take ownership without a heavy playbook
- Solid debugging and systems judgment: you can reason about an unfamiliar system and find the real problem
- Comfort with systems design and reasoning about scale, reliability, and trade-offs
- Bonus: familiarity with our stack (Next.js / React / TypeScript / Node / GraphQL / Postgres) and multi-tenant platform experience
