Full Job Description
The Senior Full Stack Engineer Performs software engineering activities in all layers of the stack, from setting up the database to programming in the back-end and the appearance at the front-end. The Senior Full Stack Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
You will report to the Associate Director of Software Engineering.
The Senior Full Stack Engineer is involved in all stages of software development. This includes front-end development, back-end development, database integrations, network and hosting management, user interface, user experience, and back-end server management.
You are experienced with Cloud-based services and development end-to-end. You can work with autonomy while collaborating with others on architectural and process decisions. You are comfortable with giving and receiving feedback from your teammates and others in the organization. You conceptualize what you need to do from incomplete and evolving requirements. Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners.
On any given day you may:
- Lead technical architecture and design and present vision
- Expertise using advanced data structures and algorithms
- Possess the ability to evaluate problems in both strategic and tactical terms
- Lead a small team of high-caliber engineers by mentoring and coaching
- Senior positive change with technical vision and innovative solutions
- Strong affinity to software-driven engineering & automation
- Partner with senior business and functional leaders to define technical direction
- Deliver timely business-critical systems and components with high quality
- Lead by example by doing hands-on platform, backend, and frontend development
- Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback
- Investigate and propose new ideas, frameworks technologies, or processes
This is a hybrid role and you will be required to come into the office 1-2 per week. Candidates should reside or be within 50 miles of Dallas, TX, Chicago Metro, DC Metro or Louisville area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 or more years of progressive experience as a senior developer in large IT projects
- Proficient understanding tech-lead level experience in one or more programming languages .Net or Java, Javascript, NodeJS, Python , Typescripts etc.
- Experience with Spring/Spring Boot
- Experience with JSON, RESTful web services and client-server interactions
- Experience with highly scalable websites (Vue.js, Angular, React etc.) and web services
- Knowledge of and experience with Azure or equivalent provider
- Environment management/orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker, AKS, etc.)
- React-Native, Mobile app experience and AI/Agentic AI, Leveraging Code generation tools like Claude and Co-pilot is a Plus
Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$106,900 - $147,000 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
