Engineering at StackAdapt:
As an Engineer at StackAdapt, you will be directly involved in the development of our new MarTech platform, producing production-level code that will directly impact on the success of our product. You will work with large data sets and have exposure to modern tech stacks, including technologies like Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL, and more. About the Team:
Our team is building the future of MarTech. The Orchestration Flows team is developing a revolutionary platform that enables marketers to launch performant campaigns and sync them automatically with programmatic channels. We're evolving from an Adtech leader into a full-service marketing powerhouse, and we need your help to scale.

StackAdapt is a Remote First company; we are open to candidates located anywhere in Canada for this position.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Design, improve, and debug complex distributed systems, managing cross-team backend dependencies to ensure unblocked delivery of new product features
  • Lead code reviews, technical specifications, and architectural planning to drive rapid decision-making and maintain high shipping standards
  • Develop and maintain our highly-interactive React frontend for the Orchestration Flows product, managing complex state and branching logic to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Implement scalable systems and APIs using Ruby on Rails and GraphQL, ensuring a high-performance foundation for new product features
  • Write extensible, test-driven code and take full responsibility for projects from initial design through to production deployment
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks that directly impact user adoption and product performance
  • Mentor teammates and cultivate a fun and collaborative team atmosphere


What You'll Bring to the Table
  • 5+ years of building highly-performant web applications
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product & Design to implement and iterate on high impact end-to-end product experiences
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS or other equivalent cloud platforms like GCP or Azure
  • Ability to maximize the use of our AI-assisted tools to accelerate development cycles and identify opportunities to integrate AI features that drive product innovation and customer adoption
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining relational databases and key-value stores at scale
  • Ability to navigate backend dependencies and negotiate technical contracts to ensure unblocked delivery of product features
  • Experience implementing testing and quality strategies that maintain system stability without compromising shipping speed
