Senior Fragrance Development Manager, Perfumery & Beauty - Princeton, NJLocation: Princeton, NJ, USAs Senior Fragrance Development Manager, Perfumery & Beauty, you'll drive shared success by creating winning fragrances for clients' brands. Drawing on a growth mindset, leadership, and Beauty Care evaluation expertise, you will partner closely with perfumers to shape olfactive and development strategies and anticipate business needs.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Win and defend business profitably by leading proactive and reactive fragrance development projects of major size and strategic importance and by developing olfactive vision at regional & global levels
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Lead and coordinate global fragrance development network by bringing vision, strategy and focus
- Define, drive, implement and follow-up relevant action plans mobilizing regional Fragrance Development Managers (FDMs), Perfumers and any other relevant functions
- Ensure a testing plan is in place and executed to identify winning candidates, integrating learnings into the development process
- Support sales effort, interacting with clients on weekly basis, building strategic working relationships, delivering impactful presentations to clients and acting as an olfactive advisor when required
You Bring:- Minimum of 8 years of experience in fragrance development; ideally within beauty and care space
- Ability to work under tight timelines; ability to handle multiple projects and clients
- Strong cross-functional partnering and communication skills; comfortable navigating in a global, multicultural and matrix environment
- Winning team spirit with a strategic mindset
- Experience with consumer insights preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in related field required
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant's job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $140,000-$175,000.
