Position OverviewThis dynamic role involves collaboration across all of Pinto Valley, driving the development and execution of impactful business planning, culture programs and improvement initiatives across site and developing analysis tools to drive cost control and operational performance indicators across Pinto Valley.
You will act as a catalyst for meaningful change, respectfully challenging the status quo and introducing innovative approaches to how we operate at Pinto Valley, driving the Pinto Valley vision through setting the bar on values, behaviours and mindsets to ensure the success of all short- and long-term planning, data driven decision making and improvement initiatives across site.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic leadership- Manage and ensure all employees & contractors/suppliers are working in compliance with all Pinto Valley Mine and MSHA safety guidelines and procedures.
- Drive and develop a business improvement culture, mindset and passion across the mine site. Model the Pinto Valley values and mindsets to ensure achievement of our vision, influencing these standards across site.
- Drive transformation initiatives to drive good safety outcomes, increase quality standards, improve production efficiencies and unlock cost savings to hit the bottom line.

Transformation portfolio- Facilitate and provide coaching to operational teams on deployment of improvement practices to analyze current state, identify opportunities and build the foundations for future state.
- Drive monthly cost review meetings and identify improvement initiatives to add to TO pipeline for each department. Work with departments to develop action plans to realize benefits from initiatives.
- Ensure the availability of the necessary tools and resources project managers require to deliver successful projects.
- Work with departments to value initiatives and conduct post project implementation monitoring to analyze long term project benefits.
Planning and Analysis- Coordinate planning and budgeting cycles setting out timelines, detailed work requirements and preparing analysis to ensure cost efficient and optimized budgets and plans are developed.
- Oversee the budgeting and planning, including preparation and validation of mine budgets, plans, Life of Mine (LOM) financial models, including preparation and analysis of key performance indicators, projections, and models.
- Ensure planning outcomes enhance the value of the business.
- Champion cross functional site involvement in the budgeting process to ensure presentation of a complete business case, inclusion of all potential uplift opportunities and identification of all risks.
- Develop system procedures and controls for budgets and forecasts.
- Drive improved business performance via analysis of historical data and development of forecasting tools that result in visibility of pending business issues and development of optimal action plans to address.
Capital Management- Develop site wide capital management tools to manage and communicate annual & LOM capital spend program
- Set up and coordinate monthly capital committee to review project progress upcoming capital submissions and forecasts
- Drive and coordinate monthly capital reforecasting
- Provide investment analysis for major projects
- Support economics, modelling and assessment of Studies as required
- Drive a culture of cost control and reporting on all capital projects, ensuring we get the best value for money, quality results and carry learnings forward to future projects.
Required - Bachelor's degree in engineering or accounting.
- 8 years' experience in business analysis, cost analysis, reporting dashboards, Budgeting and forecasting processes, cost management and operational excellence role in mining industry (operating sites).
Preferred- Passion for safety
- Computer proficient in MS Office Suite, SAP S4/Hana, Power BI.
- Capable of managing change and bringing others along on the journey
- Strong financial acumen
- Exceptional planning, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong, influential relationships with stakeholders at all levels
