Hiring: Senior Software Engineer - Firmware Security / Compiler Engineering (C++ | LLVM | Fuzzing | AI)

Location:Hybrid (Redmond, WA)

Are you passionate aboutsystems programming, firmware security, compiler technology, and AI-assisted security analysis? We're hiring aSenior Software Engineerto help build a next-generation firmware security analysis platform withinAzure Hardware Security.

This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection ofLLVM, C/C++, fuzzing, static analysis, and Large Language Models (LLMs)to automate vulnerability discovery across firmware at enterprise scale.

What You'll Do
  • Design and develop firmware security analysis pipelines usingC/C++,LLVM, andPython.
  • Build compiler transformations and preprocessing pipelines that convert firmware into LLVM IR for automated analysis.
  • Develop and enhancefuzzing frameworksto discover security vulnerabilities.
  • Improve static analysis, crash triage, call graph generation, and AI-assisted vulnerability detection.
  • Collaborate with compiler engineers, security researchers, and Azure platform teams.
  • Contribute to CI/CD automation, testing, documentation, and open-source engineering initiatives.

Required Skills
  • 7+ years of professionalC/C++ systems programmingexperience.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $170,000 - $180,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
