As the team manager, you will be responsible for resource planning, technical oversight, process management, and talent management within the team. You will ensure coordination of the team amongst cross-functional stakeholders and ensure that the design team is balancing schedule, cost, and technical outcomes of their designs. You will participate in design reviews, create appropriate process documentation, occasionally interface with customers. As a people leader, you will act as a role model for others within the department, contributing to our culture of inclusion and high standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Technical leadership and guidance of a team of firmware engineers in the development of control electronics
  • Process development and maintenance for design reviews, AI usage, and verification activities
  • Proposal support for external and internal customers
  • Resource planning and management in support of both ongoing and upcoming programs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited technical college or university in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 10+ years of relevant electronic/embedded design experience
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience of firmware teams
  • Demonstrated experience leading the development of complex firmware designs for embedded systems
  • Experience with hardware prototype testing and debug in a lab environment
  • Demonstrable experience designing and launching products in regulated environments
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of direct people management experience of firmware teams
  • Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink, DSP algorithms and implementations in embedded systems
  • Experience with SystemVerilog, UVM test frameworks, and DO-254
  • Experience designing motion control and electromechanical systems for space environments
  • Experience with radiation hardening and mitigation for firmware
  • Experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
  • Experience generating technical proposal content and labor/cost estimation

Base Pay Range for:

CO applicants is $169,008.00 - $236,611.20
