About the role - you will:- Conceive, design, develop, and test firmware solutions for advanced data storage products.
- Work with firmware and hardware design teams to develop firmware methods that implement features for leading edge concepts in data storage products.
- Work on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of complex events.
- Exercise independent judgment to determine methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results on new and special projects.
- Assume responsibility for the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of firmware (IC embedded code) applications.
- Apply your knowledge of embedded software and your experience of best practice software development methods.
Your experience includes:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 5+ years of experience, or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 3+ years of experience, or PHD and 0+ years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
- C/C++ language programming experience.
- Demonstrated experience using code development tools.
- Experience analyzing software defects, identifying root cause, and implementing corrective action.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Operating System, Computer Architecture, Embedded System and data structure and algorithms.
You Might Also Have:- Knowledge of data storage systems.
- Hard Disc Drive or Solid State Drive experience.
- Software performance analysis and optimization.
- Experience using Oscilloscopes and Logic Analyzers.
- Assembly language programming.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $92,310.40 - $131,994.72.
