Job Description

This role contributes to the design, modification, and maintenance of the Company's financial reporting and consolidation system to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient business processes. The Financial Systems and Consolidations Analyst will provide finance system users with responsive and accurate business functional production support related to the Company's Consolidation and Performance Management (CPM) software. Working as a key business partner, this position serves as a subject matter expert and liaison between the Company's finance organization and IT department on matters related to the Company's CPM software application and functionality. This position will also translate business requirements into functional specifications and recommended solutions.

In addition to responsibilities over financial systems, this role will help oversee and be accountable for the Company's month end and quarterly financial statement consolidation process.

Key Duties & Responsibilites:
  • Leads various aspects of financial systems projects including the design, build, testing, and training phases
  • Responsible for monthly system maintenance and updates including metadata and system calculations
  • Partners with business unit finance to build and/or updates system reports based on system changes and/or end user needs
  • Works closely with the Financial Reporting team, as well as the Tax Department, by supporting monthly and quarterly financial close processes from both a financial and systems perspective
  • Continuously looks for ways to improve processes through the use of system functionality and provide end user support
  • Creates and maintains system and process documentation and troubleshoots and resolves system issues
  • Acts as a liaison between Corporate Finance and Corporate Information Technology when implementing and maintaining financial systems
  • Partners with functional and business unit leads to design and implement best practices for consolidating plant locations (including automation of manual consolidation processes)
  • Partners with internal and external audit to maintain a strong control environment related to both change management as well as the overall consolidation process. Regularly monitors and assesses risks in these areas
  • Collaborates with corporate accounting team to optimize processes around the intercompany elimination process
  • Maintains the master chart of accounts, including statistical data, for financial reporting, and works collaboratively with FP&A for alignment with both management and external reporting

Education/Training:
  • Minimum of 5 years of related business experience
  • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or other related field preferred
  • CMA or CPA designation a plus
