Job Title: Senior Financial Data Analyst

OverviewSystem One is seeking a Senior Financial Data Analyst with prior experience supporting environments and strong knowledge of financial data analysis. This role will work with complex financial datasets and business requirements, with an emphasis on capital related reporting and analysis.
This position has an onsite expectation of 3-5 days per week in Reston, VA, with local candidates preferred.
Responsibilities - Support environments and perform comprehensive financial data analysis, focusing on capital-related reporting and insights
- Work with complex financial datasets and adhere to business requirements
- Utilize strong SQL skills to query and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights
- Identify and interpret financial and accounting data, translating findings into actionable recommendations
- Communicate complex data analysis results effectively to both technical and business stakeholders
- Assist in analyzing derivatives and hedge accounting, with an emphasis on Basel regulatory capital requirements and ERCF
- Work independently to analyze data, interpret results, and deliver reports in a regulated financial services environment
Requirements - 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in a financial services setting
- Strong SQL skills, including querying large and complex datasets
- Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate financial data effectively
- Knowledge of derivatives and hedge accounting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Basel regulatory capital requirements and ERCF preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field
