Full Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst

Thompson Gray is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Orlando, FL. The selected candidate will provide high-level program management and financial management support to our Army customer across multiple programs. This role focuses on delivering in-depth financial analysis, strategic recommendations, budget formulation, and compliance with DoD financial regulations.

Location: Orlando, FL

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Work Schedule: Full-time on-site (5 days per week)

Telework: May be authorized

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive financial management support, including the development of spend plans, execution reports, under-execution variance analyses, get-well plans, and other ad-hoc financial reporting.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data and deliver actionable recommendations to improve efficiency, transparency, and resource management.
  • Support budget formulation, execution, and programming efforts, including Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development for Training, Equipping, and Digital Program Evaluation Groups (PEGs), as well as Congressional Justifications.
  • Ensure strict compliance with the DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR) and all applicable Department of Defense financial policies.
  • Analyze current financial processes and recommend improvements to streamline operations while supporting Department of Government Efficiency initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to action officer teams using key Defense financial management systems, including Vantage, PMRT, CCaR, GFEBS, CMAT, and G-Invoicing.
  • Support strategic contracting and financial operations for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and other Defense-wide missions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements
  • 10+ years of Financial Management experience within the Department of Defense.
  • DoD Financial Management (FM) Level III certification.
  • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Business Cost Estimating / Financial Management, Advanced certification.
  • Strong knowledge of DoD budgeting, programming, and financial reporting processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Program Executive Offices (PEOs) or major Army acquisition programs.
  • Deep familiarity with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) financial management.
  • Proven track record of supporting POM development and Congressional justification processes.
  • Proficiency with multiple DoD financial systems (GFEBS, CCaR, PMRT, etc.).
