The Role

The Senior Financial Analyst will drive reporting excellence and operational efficiency through advanced data tools and automation. This role will leverage Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, and other analytics platforms to streamline financial reporting, enhance data visualization, and support decision-making across the organization. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst will also lead ad hoc financial analyses, uncovering insights that inform strategic initiatives. Finally, this position will play a key role in mentoring junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and analytical rigor.

This is a hybrid position with 4 days in the office (Monday to Thursday) and Friday is remote.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop and optimize financial reporting tools using Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, and other data platforms to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and usability.
  • Automate recurring reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency across finance and business teams.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, uncover trends, and address business questions as they arise.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, operations, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts by providing technical training, analytical support, and career development feedback.
  • Ensure data integrity and governance by maintaining high standards for data quality, documentation, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Assists with budget and forecast process.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or other business related field required OR equivalent 4 years of progressive responsibility in financial analysis in real estate finance.


Certification or Licensures:
  • None required.


Experience:
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, reporting, or business intelligence, ideally within a fast-paced or data-driven environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Power Automate, and SQL, with a strong track record of building automated workflows, dashboards, and data models that improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft) and integrating data across multiple sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex ad hoc analyses, synthesize large datasets, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Deep knowledge of tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and SQL, with the ability to design and implement scalable dashboards, automated workflows, and data pipelines. Skilled in transforming raw data into actionable insights and streamlining manual reporting processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP and financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday. Able to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources to support comprehensive financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong ability to perform complex ad hoc analyses, interpret large datasets, and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities. Adept at using data to answer open-ended business questions and support strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. Strong business acumen to align analytical outputs with organizational goals. Reads and writes English as demonstrated by clear and concise written and verbal communications.
  • Proven track record of identifying inefficiencies in financial workflows and implementing process improvements using modern analytics and automation tools. Committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior analysts, providing guidance on technical tools, analytical approaches, and professional development. Capable of fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Frequently operates general office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, telephone, and photocopying machine.
