We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Analyst with experience in financial or regulatory reporting and strong Excel skills to join our Regulatory Reporting team. In this role, you will support the delivery of accurate, timely, and efficient cyclical reporting, including regulatory filings and financial statement note disclosures, for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies. Working across BMO, you will contribute to key projects and initiatives aligned with broader group objectives while helping maintain high standards of data quality, reconciliation, and control.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills while working with complex datasets and contributing to process improvements. You will support efforts to enhance reporting processes at the Bank-- by identifying efficiencies, reducing manual activities, and improving transparency. As part of a collaborative team environment, you will take ownership in preparing regulatory returns and contribute to evolving reporting practices that meet both business and regulatory requirements.

  • Provides input to regulatory reporting policy and procedures.
  • Provides specialized support to investigate and resolve complex issues as escalated end-users or assigned by management.
  • Participates in initiatives such as financial reporting systems or business process.
  • Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards for regulators and executive level reviews.
  • Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
  • Supports the production of financial, regulatory, and management reporting requirements.
  • Executes work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service for monthly, quarterly and annual processes for reporting.
  • Analyses data and information to provide financial, regulatory and related risk insights and recommendations.
  • Supports the interpretation and definition of internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures strong governance and effective controls across finance & accounting activities and information in accordance with enterprise standards.
  • Provides information and support the process for internal (Corporate and SOX) and external audits.
  • Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
  • Organizes work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.

  • Qualifications:
  • Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary:

$61,600.00 - $113,900.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
