Senior Financial Analyst at Providence Portland Medical Center. This posting represents Full-Time, Day Schedule.

The essential functions of the Senior Finance Analysts:
• Oversees CORE's master department budget and project budgets, including budget development, expense management, and analysis, reporting and projection of monies and resource allocations: • Develops budgets for grants and contracts, manages expenses for grants and contracts, and provides budget analysis for the department. • May manage, supervise or mentor others in these or related activities. • Leads the development of CORE's financial and accounting systems to support strategic priorities, and to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and contract requirements. • Initiates and leads process improvement activities related to financial systems, including payroll, invoicing, cash management, procurement, expense reimbursement, and PCards. • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of compliance requirements and interprets new regulations to inform CORE policies. • Develops and provides training and education in finance systems and policies to all staff. • Writes budgets for research grants and ensures that research spending complies with federal regulations. • Develops reports to funders and quarterly financial reports. • Maintains effective relationships with external and PHS strategic partners to facilitate finance work. • Manages the monthly, quarterly and long-term FTE allocations process to ensure that all CORE staff are fully funded and properly assigned to project and general ledger accounts. • Collaborates with project teams in pre-award processes to route proposals for internal approvals and ensure compliance with sponsor requirements. • Manages post-award administration including project setups, modifications, invoicing to sponsors, budget monitoring and forecasting. • Develops reports to funders and quarterly financial reports for all projects and accounts

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
