Job DescriptionPosition Summary:The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting all financial activities of the Corporate and Segment IT teams. This position will work with IT partners to track spending against contracts, support project accounting and analysis, and daily financial maintenance including invoice coding and journal entry creation. The position assists with financial modeling, data analysis, P&L and capital planning to support strategic decisions and assisting IT leadership in managing spending. The analyst will provide key inputs into the annual planning process and monthly forecasts. The analyst will ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data and provide insights into the company's financial plan.
Position Responsibilities: Financial management:
- Review and code all IT invoices against approved contracts
- Prepare month end adjusting journal entries and reconciliations of IT specific general ledger accounts.
- Review and support all capital and expense approval requests against financial policies.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data in all analyses and reports.
Financial Planning & Reporting:
- Assist in the development and review of IT budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including variance and trend analysis.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to gather and analyze data and provide financial insights.
Capital and project reporting:
- Monitor capital expenditures and ensure alignment with budgets.
- Assist in capital planning and project accounting, including aggregation of project financial data and creating of executive-quality reporting materials.
- Support documentation and tracking of fixed assets from construction in process to in service as well as review with IT team members for retirement/disposal documentation
Other Corporate financial processes:
- Support cross functional teams in allocation of certain enterprise-wide Corporate allocations.
- Support Corporate reporting team in data maintenance for TM1 consolidation system.

Required Qualifications• Must be located in Richmond, VA
• Bachelors Degree
• 2-4 years' experience
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with a high technical aptitude
• Understanding of accounts payable, general ledger, financial statements and finance concepts
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies, systems, and processes
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational, problem solving, communication, and professional interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work across functional areas, including IT, Finance, Accounting, Senior Management
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel including use of VLOOKUP's, index(match) functions, conditional logic statements, and What-If analysis
Preferred Qualifications• Masters Degree/MBA
• 4 - 6 years of experience
• Intimate working knowledge of the income statement and balance sheet
• Experience working with IT specific financial issues including contract management related to technology vendors
• Experience in professional services organization including analysis and reporting of project financials and key metrics
• Familiarity with SAP ECC or SAP S4 and IBM TM1 or other financial systems
