About the team
The Senior Financial Analyst, as a proficient professional, will provide ongoing business support, financial analysis, and performance measurement to key stakeholders within the business units they support to meet our objective of maintaining continuous profitable growth.
The SFA will focus mainly on supporting a team or number of teams within Kinaxis as a trusted advisor and partner. They will leverage their passion and expertise with data to provide trusted insight and will clearly articulate those insights to drive complex and strategic investment and business decisions, and to aid business leaders in their decision making.

What you will do
- Perform data extraction and analysis to develop, prepare and present financial data, results and recommendations that are timely, accurate, reliable, and relevant for effective business decision making
- Lead quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for functional groups by collaborating with key stakeholders and collecting and consolidating data from relevant areas, leveraging expertise and knowledge of the business
- Deeply understand the goals of the groups you are supporting and be a trusted and dedicated partner; Support their evolving business needs through financial analysis by understanding and modeling key drivers and metrics.
- Help drive standardized operational reporting based on the lines of business; present complex financial forecasting & modeling to make strategic decisions.
- Act as a mentor and sounding board to more junior employees on the team; share insight and experiences that contribute to the team's success
- Develop actionable management reporting and dashboards that clearly communicate actual performance vs. budget and key metrics.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that contribute to the evolution of our support model, including self-serve reporting.
- Work closely with the HR Business Partner team to provide consistent communication of objectives and adjustments to the forecast
- Be curious about KPI trends and proactively explore the "why" behind the trend.
Primary Skills and Qualifications
- Post secondary degree in accounting, business, or related field, with a CPA designation or an MBA preferred.
- 5+ years post-designation experience, preferably with a global company in the technology sector with a background in FP&A being an asset
- Proven experience being a trusted partner to key stakeholders across the business, and building strong relationships
- Advanced analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to coordinate input from multiple sources to develop impactful recommendations to achieve results for the business.
- A clear, concise, and professional communicator with the ability to present complex information to various audiences, and demonstrate knowledge within direct and indirect team
- Experience working with information that requires accuracy, attention to detail, using organization skills and agility while managing multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
- Highly adaptable and able to pivot based on prioritization and needs of the business; proactively solicits feedback to ensure alignment.
- Resilient with a sense of urgency and works in a fast paced, innovation driven, and ambiguous environment
What we are looking for
- Passion for data and, and demonstrated experience producing models and presentations that answer desired questions
- Advanced skills in excel and financial modeling
- Proven ability to translate complex financial data and information into consumable content for various audiences, including Senior stakeholders
- Experience supporting business cases by working cross functionality to present options, backed by financial analysis and modeling
- Experience with accounting and financial planning systems, specifically Netsuite and Planful
