Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Expertise in SQL and data.
  • Demonstrated impactful performance in prior role(s) with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Strong business partnering skills including the ability to cultivate strong cross-functional relationships, work in a fast-paced environment and drive operational initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on Google One, a rapidly growing business with 150m subscribers and Google Photos, a well-loved product with 1.5B users. You will play a leading role in driving Google One's AI subscription business that unlocks Google's most advanced AI capabilities. You work closely with cross-product teams (like YouTube, Pixel, Home and Health) to bring premium bundled experiences and partnerships to life. As a trusted advisor and financial guardian, you will play a critical role in facilitating and influencing strategic product and investment decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain sophisticated financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate cross-product partnerships, designing guardrails that align cross-product area incentives while protecting margins and Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Lead post-launch analytics, performance reviews, and variance tracking for live first-party (1P) partnerships to deliver actionable insights on impact scale, incrementality, and ongoing GTM optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, Controllership, and partner product area finance teams to ensure alignment on launch constructs, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), financials, and reporting.
  • Develop standardized evaluation frameworks, repeatable templates, and reporting dashboards to increase execution velocity and streamline governance for future launches.
  • Synthesize complex financial models into clear, executive-ready presentations and narratives for senior leadership across G1 and partner product areas to guide strategic decision-making.
