Full Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate plays an essential role in growing talent in our business through collaboration and sharing best practices with the FP&A team and our business partners. You know how to be curious about opportunities and how to be real with feedback and support. Lush is a true vertically integrated business including Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, Digital, and Admin streams. While all teams are linked, this role is primarily focused on supporting our Corporate teams with all budgeting and forecasting workflows.

Analysts at Lush play an essential role in developing and executing the company vision by supporting decision making, planning, and driving results. As the Senior Financial Analyst for our corporate department, you will understand business operations, develop tools, metrics, and processes in order to provide information that drives action and improvements. You will ensure information is accurate, relevant, and actionable while being understood by a wide audience of stakeholders.

This opportunity plays a key role in strengthening business partnership within corporate by working closely with the Finance Business Partner and our Lush Leadership team.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, Corporate, the Senior Financial Analyst will undertake the following RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead month-end variance analysis for corporate business units, providing insights on financial performance, and key underlying drivers, changes against the plan, and upcoming opportunities and risks.
  • Storytell by turning data into easily understood trends and impacts that can be actioned by the business
  • Lead monthly financial reforecasting and annual budgeting processes, including the development, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of forecasting models to ensure accurate financial plans
  • Adapt financial data and prepare content for financial presentations as needed including company wide Communication Days
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency of processes and deliverables
  • Provide peer support, guidance, and development opportunities to team members
  • Design and develop new and ad-hoc reports, automated dashboard, tools etc. as required

You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of progressive financial planning and analysis experience within a fast paced business environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Business Data Analytics, or similar
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and presentation skills, and in depth knowledge of financial statements and the drivers that impact them
  • Ability to distill and summarize large and complex data sets and present clearly without losing sight of the big picture
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player that can drive discussion, but always open to hearing different views
  • Flexibility, dedication and ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel, including pivot tables and complex logic-based formulas
  • Collaborative, proactive and inclusive approach to business support
  • Excitement and a commitment to learn, understand and relate to Lush's core brand values

Preferred:
  • MBA, CFA or CPA is an asset
  • Experience in high volume, vertically integrated retail, digital, and manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Adaptive (Workday) considered an asset
  • Experience working with Microsoft BI Tools like Power BI
