Role impact:The Senior Financial Analyst will analyze and prepare monthly financial information and assist in the analysis and preparation of quarterly financial statements including consolidation procedures. Assist in research and documentation of complex transactions and provide analysis to support accounting treatment.
What you will deliver:- Prepare monthly analysis for Canadian real estate subsidiaries to ensure accuracy, reasonability and completeness as well as providing analysis and reporting on quarter-end and year-end requirements, ensuring compliance with IFRS, corporate accounting policies and debt covenants;
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial statements for legal entities as prescribed;
- Prepare consolidation journal entries and other journal entries to record transactions as required;
- Liaise with accounting teams at the asset class level in order to obtain and analyze subsidiary financial information and to resolve accounting issues when required;
- Assist in the preparation of fair market value continuity reports;
- Liaise with external auditors and co-ordinate and manage audit requests;
- Prepare the annual pension financial statements including liaising with the pension auditors;
- Assist in the research and documentation of complex transactions (including acquisitions and dispositions) and provide analysis to support accounting treatment in accordance with corporate accounting policies and IFRS;
- Assist in the implementation of changes to company-wide financial accounting policies;
- Assist in the development and implementation of process and procedure improvement projects;
- Recommend and test changes to financial reports ensuring they remain current and meaningful;

What you need to succeed:- University degree in Business combined with CPA, CA or equivalent accreditation;
- 3-5 years accounting experience with 1-2 years relevant experience in the preparation of financial statements;
- Experience working in the real estate industry and fully literate with real estate accounting policies and procedures;
- Working knowledge of IFRS;
- Exposure to accounting for foreign exchange & hedging;
- Experience in external audit an asset;
- Fully computer literate, with extensive Excel skills;
- Knowledge of Workiva/Wdesk an asset;
- Knowledge of Yardi Voyager an asset.
Starting base salary for this job level may range from $81,433 to $108,577. The actual base salary offered will consider several factors including, but not limited to the role, experiences, skills & qualifications, location, market and internal considerations; with this context, CF reserves the right to pay above this range.
