Full Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Engineering Partnership: Provide strategic leadership to Engineering leaders to drive operating leverage through resource allocation and investment optimization. Give visibility to the current resource landscape, analyze macro-level results, and apply systems thinking to identify and recommend levers to influence decision-making.
  • Resource Analysis: Builds a cohesive story by incorporating business insights through resource allocation and workforce planning, as well as understanding the connection between resource allocation with the overall financial performance. Analyzes results to understand performance against plan/forecast, and monitors trends and key levers to support various rhythm of the business and finance.
  • Business Health: Drive process excellence while partnering across Engineering to continuously assess portfolio health by reviewing key drivers to identify opportunities, risks, and tradeoffs. Ensure resources and investments are constantly aligned with business strategy, product engineering roadmaps, and company priorities.

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.


Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • Financial analysis experience; Preference for experience in a high-tech company, particularly in commercial cloud services, business models and economics.
  • Driven self-starter, capable of effectively prioritizing and operating with a high degree of ambiguity in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Proven ability to partner, build trust, communicate with, and influence executives; Ability to make the complex simple and influence through effective storytelling.
  • Ability to influence and impact without authority, operate in ambiguity, and solve difficult problems; Ability to prioritize, drive simplicity, and function well in a dynamic and matrixed environment.
  • Interpersonal and cross group collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with combining, structuring, and mining large volumes of data from disparate sources, using tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, etc.
  • Excel user familiar with advanced functions and charting capabilities.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
