Job Title: Senior Finance Manager – Financial Planning Analysis & Control

Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 office days a week)

Working Location: Indianapolis, IN

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Senior Finance Manager – Financial Planning Analysis & Control Manager, US Mature Programs to join the Defence Finance Team. As the Senior Finance Manager – Financial Planning Analysis & Control, you will be a key enabler for the SVP US Mature Programs by analyzing business and financial performance and providing insightful management information, tailored to the US Mature Programs portfolio.  You will act as the central interface between the FP&A and FC Teams. Responsible for integrating inputs and driving consistency across key financial processes while delivering consistently high-quality submissions. 

What you will be doing:

  • Consolidating, analyzing and reporting on business and financial performance to provide insightful and actionable information to management. Driving data integrity and full utilization of financial systems to enable automated performance analysis.
  • Acting as the deputy for the SVP US Mature Programs in all aspects of the financial reporting portfolio, driving greater ownership of the accounts (P&L, BS) including supporting with the AP close process and statutory disclosures.
  • Ensuring quality submissions of information/data is provided to the Business areas including a challenge on the information being handed over (actuals, forecasts and coming home).
  • Working with the FC Team to embed analysis into core processes in order to develop a comprehensive understanding of key business issues.
  • Monitoring and reporting; consolidating and categorizing finance team inputs and supplementing with relevant Business insight in order to clearly communicate key deliverables and risks across business areas (e.g. Customer demand, operational and supply chain performance, commercial).
  • Working with the program finance teams to support successful delivery of the financial reporting portfolio including driving greater ownership of the accounts (P&L, BS), support with the AP close process and statutory disclosures.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business with 5+ years of Finance experience with a Finance license, OR
  • Master’s degree in Finance or Business with 3+ years of Finance experience with a Finance license, OR
  • JD/PhD in Finance or Business with a Finance license
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements:

  • Manufacturing or Aerospace experience
  • Experience of working with Hyperion Financial Management (Oracle) and VBM (Value Based Modelling) software
  • Extensive knowledge of business planning, reporting and control
  • Resilient and self-motivated candidate, accomplished at forming relationships and influencing people at all levels in the company
  • Finance operative, able to develop actionable insight to inform the Business and improve Financial performance
  • Leading key finance processes and coordinating deliverables to stringent timeframes
  • Knowledge of finance modules in SAP
