has a new opening for Senior Field Technician & Technical Advisor based out of our headquarters in Ferndale, WA.

This role serves as a key technical leader within the residential service team, supporting technicians in diagnosing complex HVAC system issues, improving service quality, reducing callbacks, and maintaining company standards and best practices. This is a working field role performing residential HVAC service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair while serving as a trusted technical resource and mentor to the service team. In partnership with service leadership, this position also supports technician development, operational excellence, and consistently high levels of customer satisfaction while upholding Andgar Mechanical's mission, values, and service standards.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and technical support for residential HVAC systems.
  • Serve as a technical resource for Service Technicians, assisting with complex system issues and repair vs. replacement decisions.
  • Perform residential HVAC service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics as needed while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to company standards.
  • Mentor and train Level I• III Service Technicians, supporting the development of troubleshooting skills, technical knowledge, and service quality.
  • Assist with resolving customer concerns or escalated service issues requiring advanced technical expertise.
  • Partner with leadership to improve service productivity, efficiency, and quality, and provide feedback on field conditions, technician development, and service trends.
  • Reinforce company service standards, procedures, safety practices, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in training initiatives, industry partnerships, or workforce development programs as requested.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Advanced knowledge of residential HVAC systems, diagnostics, and repair.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Deep understanding of electrical and refrigeration systems.
  • Experience evaluating repair vs. replacement options.
  • Ability to mentor and train other technicians.
  • Safe operation of service and diagnostic tools; A06 Electrical License/Certification required .
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office or similar digital service platforms and committed to ongoing technical development.


Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • HVAC Technician Certification from accredited trade school or college preferred
  • Minimum 8+ years of residential HVAC service experience
  • Demonstrated advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
  • NATE Certification preferred
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification
  • Current Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • Current First Aid certification or ability to obtain
