Full Job Description
The Role

We're looking for a Senior Field Marketing Manager to build and run the field marketing engine that puts Scanner in front of the right security leaders, practitioners, and enterprise accounts. This is our first field marketing hire, so you'll be building the playbooks, programs, and measurement system from the ground up as Scanner scales. You'll own programs end-to-end from major cybersecurity conferences and regional events to executive dinners, customer gatherings, and creative account-focused experiences. This role reports to our Head of Demand Generation.

This is not an event logistics role. You'll work closely with Sales and Marketing to decide where we show up, build programs around priority accounts and opportunities, and turn field investments into meaningful relationships, pipeline, and revenue.

What you'll own
  • Own Scanner's field marketing from strategy to on-the-ground execution, spanning conferences, executive events, regional programs, customer experiences, and account-based programs.
  • Run major cybersecurity events end-to-end, including sponsorships, booths, meetings, dinners, side events, and creative activations.
  • Build high-touch executive programs and regional events designed around strategic accounts and active opportunities to accelerate deals.
  • Partner directly with AEs and Marketing on target accounts, outreach, meeting goals, and follow-up to turn field engagement into pipeline.
  • Bring customers, partners, and security community leaders into programs that expand Scanner's reach and credibility.
  • Own field budgets, vendors, agencies, venues, including booth builds and creative activations in partnership with Design to swag ordering, all while maintaining a high bar for execution.
  • Measure programs against target-account engagement, meetings, pipeline created and influenced, acceleration, and revenue.
  • Continuously test where, how, and with whom we invest to improve performance.

Must have
  • 5-8+ years of B2B field, event, or integrated marketing experience, ideally in cybersecurity, infrastructure, developer tools, or another deeply technical category.
  • Experience marketing to enterprise security buyers and understanding CISOs, security leaders, practitioners, and technical buying committees.
  • Proven ownership of field programs that generated or influenced sales pipeline
  • Experience running both major industry conferences and smaller, high-touch executive or account-based programs.
  • Strong partnership with Sales teams and experience building programs around target accounts and active opportunities.
  • Builder mentality: you've created programs, processes, vendor networks, and measurement systems rather than only operating an established machine.
  • Strong project management, judgment, and ability to manage complex programs, budgets, vendors, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A strong sense of taste and design judgment, holding every program to a high bar for how it looks and feels.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-growing startup, working directly with executives, and traveling up to 25% for events.

Nice to have
  • Direct experience in SIEM, security analytics, security operations, security data, or observability.
  • Strong familiarity with the cybersecurity event ecosystem and practitioner communities.
  • Experience building CISO programs, event-driven outbound campaigns, or unconventional activations that broke through at crowded industry events.
  • Experience planning partner and co-marketing events

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, commuter). Hybrid/remote-friendly with regular in-person collaboration in San Francisco, Mountain View, and Seattle.
