Description
Position Summary:
The Architect is the senior-most technical authority on the platform, accountable for the overall target-state architecture across cloud, application, data, and security domains. You will set the technical vision and standards, arbitrate cross-domain trade-offs, and ensure the modernized platform meets the client's performance, security, and regulatory objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end technical vision and target-state architecture for the platform
- Set architecture standards, principles, and governance across all domains
- Arbitrate major cross-domain technical decisions and trade-offs
- Lead the architecture review board and approve high-impact designs
- Ensure alignment of cloud, application, data, security, and DevSecOps architectures
- Drive the enterprise strategy for agentic AI across the platform and SDLC
- Advise client stakeholders and program leadership on technical strategy and risk
- Mentor the architecture team and champion engineering excellence

Requirements
Non-Technical Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be willing to work a HYRBID Schedule (2 Days) in Reston, VA & client locations in the Washington D.C. area as required.
- Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Must be able to prioritize and self-start.

Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of software/systems architecture experience, including enterprise-scale federal systems
- Proven experience as a lead/chief architect across multiple technical domains
- Deep expertise in cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven architecture
- Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
- Financial-regulatory or filing-systems domain experience
- Applied agentic AI / Amazon Bedrock architecture experience
Salary Description
$200,000-$220,000 (based on pertinent experience)
