What You'll Do
- Prepare complete estimates for public and private infrastructure projects.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop competitive pricing.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
- Identify project risks, constructability issues, and value engineering opportunities.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, executive leadership, vendors, and utility providers.
- Support bid-day activities and successful project handoffs.
We're Looking For
- 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
- Experience estimating traffic signals, roadway lighting, fiber optic, ITS, dry utility, underground electrical, or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong plan-reading and quantity takeoff skills.
- Knowledge of labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor pricing, and production rates.
- Experience with estimating software such as InEight, Bid2Win, HeavyBid, BidX, or similar.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Valid Arizona driver's license and good driving record.
Preferred Experience
- ADOT, municipal, county, utility, or JOC estimating experience.
- Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
- Familiarity with Arizona utility providers and public agency bidding requirements.
