Full Job Description
Senior Estimator

  • 10 plus years Estimator experience in Plumbing, HVAC and Process Piping of Institutional, Laboratory, Pharmaceutical, Brewery, Healthcare, and Industrial related projects.
  • Responsible for leading all estimates up to $20M, compiling accurate bid documents - including take-off and summary of all materials, fixtures, and equipment, along with evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs. Experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • The individual should possess Process Piping expertise relating to plan layouts, schematics, P & IDs, and specifications. Plumbing, HVAC and Sheet metal knowledge a plus.
  • This individual will solicit and evaluate, with assistance from the Purchasing Department, multiple subcontractor and equipment quotes, understand construction field conditions, and prepare schedules encompassing this information.
  • Skilled in reading and understanding drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Ability to accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Understand construction field conditions, means and methods, and project schedules.
  • Quickpen / Autobid software experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Bluebeam experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You will be responsible for soliciting, evaluating, and preparing bid proposals in the most attractive manner to general contractors and owners.

Murphy USA is an American corporation based in El Dorado, Arkansas operating a chain of retail gas stations that are primarily located in proximity to Walmart stores. It was founded as a spin-off of Murphy Oil in 2013. In 2018, it was ranked 279 on the Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations by revenue. Murphy USA opened its first stores exclusively adjacent to Walmart properties. As of December 15th, 2020, Murphy USA operates 1,500 retail fueling stations in 26 US states and over 1,100 sites are located near Walmart stores. Murphy USA also has 240 Murphy Express branded stores, which are located independently. Murphy Express sites are typically large-format facilities that offer a larger array of products and more fueling lanes than the original format.
