Full Job Description
Job Purpose

Serve as a North America Senior Regional Reliability Engineer within the Reliability Group of the PEBU Equipment Reliability and Stability Dept. (ERS) responsible for assisting in the development and execution of reliability strategies, processes, and methods for local sites (plants) to use to ensure the total cost of ownership (TCO) viewpoint is captured and equipment is maintained at the economic optimum.

Key Accountabilities

  • Help develop and execute methods and processes for Reliability Engineering and asset management strategies for new and existing equipment. Analyze equipment design from an engineering and maintenance perspective to identify failure modes/mitigate risk and suggest Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans and Spare Parts requirements to achieve the economic optimum.
  • Analyze data from an equipment's running condition and understand the root cause of any deficiencies from an equipment, process, or maintenance viewpoint. Execute implementation strategy with the help of regional/local reliability engineers. Make engineering assumptions as needed to fill in missing data gaps. Utilize engineering judgment to decide the best solution considering the economic optimum.
  • Assist in development and delivery of Reliability Engineering processes and methods workshops to teach the methods and processes using the tools available at Honda.
  • Work effectively within the Production Engineering team in the use of the tools, methods, and processes to evaluate Production Equipment performance and design.
  • Benchmark best practices in Reliability Engineering and incorporate into the processes and methods that will be used at Honda.
  • Generate Maximo Change Requests to align Maximo to support the Reliability Engineering processes and methods to make a sustainable data driven tool.
  • Support the development and execution of Business Planning process and budgeting for Reliability Engineering Process and Methods.
  • Present improvement proposals, process, and method changes to the ERS Committee meeting for feedback, support, and consensus.


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in E e ngineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related equivalent experience.


Minimum Experience:
  • 2+ years of technical/engineering work experience in Manufacturing (focus in specialized area a plus)


Other Job-Specific Skills:
  • Desired - Current industry certification minimum CRL (Certified Reliability Leader) or equivalent. (i.e. CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) , CMRT (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician) , CAMA (Certified Asset Management Assessor) )
  • Maximo, MS Office, Understanding of Asset Management practices and metrics.
