This role can sit anywhere in Florida and be either remote or go into one of our local offices.
Your Responsibilities as a Senior Environmental Project Engineer: - Provide senior technical oversight and perform project work.
- Write and review technical reports and proposals.
- Assist with project management activities.
- Engineer design of environmental projects under senior engineer oversight.
- Mentor and train scientific staff and supervise work.
- Conduct field-based activities such as site inspections, remedial system startups, O&M trouble shooting.
- Assist with installing, operating, and maintaining soil and groundwater remediation systems.
- Manage and oversee equipment vendors in the field.
- Ensure safe work practices on all project work.
- Actively develop your own career growth.
What we're looking for: - BS in Environmental Engineering
- PE Certification
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- Experience with environmental remediation including soil, soil gas, and groundwater treatment systems
- Familiarity / exposure with the FDEP Petroleum Response Program
- 5+ years of related experience
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
- Excellent technical communication skills; strong attention to detail; field adeptness
- Strong safety record and understanding of safe work practices
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify, collect, organize, and document information and data.
- Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
- 10-15% fieldwork/travel to support and oversee pilot tests, system optimization, system startups, and pre-construction meetings.
