You Are

You are an Senior Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Functional Analyst with strong experience analyzing business requirements, assessing enterprise application impacts, and translating business needs into functional solutions across content management platforms.

You thrive in complex environments where multiple business domains, applications, and technology teams intersect. You have a deep understanding of document lifecycle management, workflow automation, records management, content governance, and enterprise integrations.

You are highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to assess how business initiatives impact enterprise content repositories, document generation platforms, customer communications, metadata structures, workflows, retention policies, security models, and downstream integrations.

You excel at facilitating discussions between business and technical stakeholders, identifying dependencies and risks, and translating business objectives into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Most importantly, you are passionate about delivering sustainable, scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency while maintaining compliance, governance, and enterprise standards.

The Work

You will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, responsible for evaluating incoming business initiatives and determining their impact across Enterprise Content Management platforms and services.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assess business initiatives, project requests, and application changes to determine impacts across enterprise content management assets and services.


  • Analyze business requirements, process flows, and solution designs to identify required changes across ECM platforms, integrations, workflows, and repositories.


  • Perform impact assessments related to document generation, content storage and retrieval, metadata structures, document classification, search capabilities, customer communications, and electronic signature solutions.


  • Evaluate impacts to workflow and case management processes, retention and records management policies, governance frameworks, security controls, and compliance requirements.


  • Define and document functional requirements needed to support business capabilities within the ECM ecosystem.


  • Translate business requirements into ECM-specific functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery backlogs.


  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Solution Architects, Developers, QA teams, and application teams to validate requirements and solution approaches.


  • Identify implementation risks, technical dependencies, and integration considerations across enterprise systems.


  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, impact assessment workshops, design reviews, and stakeholder discussions.


  • Support testing, validation, and implementation activities to ensure solutions meet business and operational requirements.


  • Ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, governance policies, compliance requirements, and information management best practices.


  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance content management processes, platform capabilities, and operational efficiency.


What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a related field.


  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, ECM Analyst, or a similar role.


  • Experience working with Enterprise Content Management platforms such as FileNet, CMOD, OpenText, SharePoint, Documentum, or comparable solutions.


  • Strong experience conducting business analysis, requirements gathering, impact assessments, and solution validation activities.


  • Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery artifacts.


  • Understanding of document management, records management, workflow automation, customer communications, and content lifecycle management.


  • Experience working with metadata structures, document classification, content retrieval, search capabilities, and information governance frameworks.


  • Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and the interaction between business applications and content management platforms.


  • Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery environments.


  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.


  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross-functional teams.


  • This role requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. Preferred location: Montreal, Quebec
  • English is required for this position as this role will be aligned to multi-national teams where English is the common language across our North America Market. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking multi-national teams, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

  • Experience supporting enterprise customer communications management solutions.


  • Experience working in highly regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications, or government.


  • Knowledge of records management, information governance, retention policies, and privacy regulations.


  • Familiarity with workflow and case management platforms.


  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale application integration initiatives.


  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and systems dependency analysis.


  • Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and driving business alignment across large organizations.


  • Professional certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, ECM platforms, or related disciplines.
