This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Overview

The Senior Engineering Manager & Solution Architect for Cloud and API Enablement is responsible for leading the engineering, architecture, and delivery strategy for enterprise cloud enablement capabilities across private and public cloud platforms. This role serves as both the engineering leader for API Enablement and the lead solution architect for cloud enablement services, driving the development of scalable, secure, automated, and customer-centric platform capabilities.

The successful candidate will lead engineering teams, establish architecture standards, and partner across infrastructure, cloud, security, networking, storage, middleware, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), product management, and customer engineering organizations to deliver modern self-service cloud platforms that accelerate cloud adoption, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the developer experience.

The role is accountable for the strategy, architecture, engineering, and operational success of key cloud enablement capabilities, including API Enablement, Infrastructure Console, Patch and Repave Automation, Metadata and Configuration Services, Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code Enablement, Cloud Provisioning Workflows, Policy-as-Code Integration, and Platform Reliability and Observability.

Responsibilities:
  • Builds and manages teams by performing financial activities to inform workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives
  • Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills
  • Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met
  • Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization
  • Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain
  • Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
  • Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product management and other stakeholders
  • Lead the engineering, architecture, and delivery strategy for enterprise cloud enablement capabilities across private and public cloud platforms
  • Manage and develop a high-performing engineering team responsible for API enablement and cloud platform services
  • Define and execute technology roadmaps that improve scalability, reliability, security, automation, and customer experience
  • Serve as the lead solution architect for cloud enablement capabilities, establishing target-state architectures, reference designs, and integration patterns
  • Drive the development of standardized self-service platform capabilities, including APIs, infrastructure provisioning, Infrastructure-as-Code, policy controls, and operational workflows
  • Partner with infrastructure, cloud, security, networking, storage, middleware, product, and SRE teams to deliver integrated platform solutions
  • Establish architecture governance, engineering standards, and operational excellence practices across cloud enablement services
  • Ensure platform capabilities are designed for ease of consumption, operational efficiency, compliance, and long-term sustainability
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators related to platform adoption, reliability, service quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement initiatives that accelerate cloud adoption and enhance the developer experience

Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience leading engineering teams responsible for enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, APIs, developer platforms, or automation services
  • Proven success managing senior engineers and technical leaders in complex, large-scale technology organizations
  • Deep experience designing and architecting enterprise-scale cloud, infrastructure, automation, or platform engineering solutions
  • Strong understanding of private cloud, public cloud, hybrid cloud, and enterprise infrastructure operating models
  • Experience with APIs, self-service platforms, Infrastructure-as-Code, workflow automation, metadata services, and cloud governance capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable solutions
  • Experience developing technology strategies, architecture roadmaps, and governance frameworks
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution and delivery accountability
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience


Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience leading cloud enablement, platform engineering, or developer platform organizations
  • Expertise with API management platforms, API gateways, and enterprise API strategies
  • Experience building self-service infrastructure and cloud consumption platforms
  • Strong familiarity with Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, policy-as-code, and automation frameworks
  • Experience with metadata management, CMDB integrations, and platform data architectures
  • Knowledge of observability, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), reliability engineering, and operational excellence practices
