Job Title: Senior Engineer - Physical Flows

Division: Consumer Products Division

Location: L'Oréal USA North America - Walton Distribution

Reports To: Walton Site Lead

What You Will Learn:

Provide engineering support for the entire Walton Distribution team, dedicated to the physical flow of product, logistical services, continuous improvement, and information dissemination. Help develop, lead, and sustain the Distribution Site's continuous improvement culture while collaborating with cross-functional leadership and team members to reach targeted business objectives and operational goals through Lean and Six Sigma techniques. As a continuous improvement leader, the focus is to train, coach, and mentor team members and co-workers on a range of skills from tactical improvement techniques to overall strategy and collaborate with other sites and peers at a local / zone level.
  • Develops, manages, executes, and supports continuous improvement projects focusing on Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, Service, and People.
  • Identifyand lead continuous improvement opportunities that reduce/eliminatenon-value-added activities within production and business processes, as well as define scope and project goals.
  • Participate on cross-functional implementation teamsutilizingSix Sigma/lean manufacturing tools in executing continuous improvement processes including cost reduction activities.
  • Communicate projectobjectivesand metrics, resolve barriers, andmonitorlean initiatives.
  • Ensure technical excellence and consistent approach with common language and tool sets.


What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in distribution or manufacturing environment preferred with exposure to lean and six sigma methodology.
  • Occasional lifting up to25lbs. required.
  • Must be able to stand occasionally for a prolonged period.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and influence a wide array of personnel from distribution floor employees to senior management, and across supply chain functions.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading an operation through a significant transition or transformation; delivering under difficult situations, adapting to new work environments and able to deliver results quickly.
  • Demonstrated understanding of successful change management and principles of design.
  • Proven leadership skills, project management skills, and business acumen
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and an understanding of simplification/improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrate professional judgment and sound decision-making skills.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrate 100% responsibility with regard to actions and reactions.
