Job Description Summary

Designs, engineers, and continuously enhances enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms with a strong emphasis on automation, orchestration, and AI-enabled identity services. Develops scalable identity architectures that improve security, operational efficiency, user experience across workforce, and privileged access environments. Leverages automation frameworks, APIs, and AI-driven capabilities to streamline identity lifecycle management, access governance, authentication services, and operational support processes. Partners with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to deliver modern IAM solutions that support Zero Trust initiatives, digital transformation programs, and evolving business requirements.

Job Description

  • Designs, implements, and maintains enterprise-scale IAM platforms and directory services to ensure secure, highly available, and scalable authentication and authorization capabilities across the organization.
  • Develops and deploys automation solutions that streamline identity lifecycle processes, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, access requests, access reviews, privileged access onboarding, and compliance reporting.
  • Creates and supports API-driven integrations, identity orchestration workflows, and automated provisioning solutions to securely connect business applications, cloud services, and enterprise identity platforms.
  • Leverages AI-powered tools, analytics platforms, and intelligent automation capabilities to improve access governance, identity threat detection, role mining, entitlement management, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyzes identity telemetry, authentication logs, access patterns, and platform performance metrics to proactively identify security risks, optimize service delivery, and improve user experiences.
  • Designs and documents technical architectures, integration standards, automation frameworks, and operational runbooks that promote consistency, scalability, and supportability across the IAM ecosystem.
  • Collaborates with security, cloud, infrastructure, application development, and enterprise architecture teams to implement modern identity solutions supporting Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), and Zero Trust initiatives.
  • Validates IAM platform upgrades, automation enhancements, and security controls in development and test environments to ensure stability, performance, and regulatory compliance prior to production deployment.
  • Evaluates emerging IAM, automation, AI, and cybersecurity technologies to identify opportunities for innovation, operational improvement, and risk reduction.
  • Provides technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on IAM best practices, automation strategies, AI adoption, and modern identity architecture patterns.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), platform engineering, software development, cybersecurity engineering, cloud engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience building IAM automation solutions using scripting, APIs, workflow orchestration tools, or Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, CyberArk, Ping Identity, ForgeRock, BeyondTrust, or similar technologies.
  • Experience developing solutions using PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, Terraform, REST APIs, or comparable automation technologies.
  • Strong understanding of identity standards and protocols including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, SCIM, LDAP, and JWT.
  • Experience supporting Identity Governance (IGA), Access Management, Privileged Access Management (PAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leveraging AI, machine learning, generative AI, copilots, or intelligent automation platforms to improve IAM operations, identity governance, access analytics, or threat detection capabilities.
  • Experience implementing Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA), or AI-powered security monitoring solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, Security+, Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator, SailPoint, Saviynt, CyberArk, Okta, Azure, AWS, or related certifications.
  • Experience working within Agile, DevOps, or DevSecOps environments.
