The Team you will be joining: HQR
Our team is charged with maintaining and improving the software at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that supports the Hospital Quality Reporting program. Thousands of hospitals across the country depend on these systems to submit quality measure data that reflects the care beneficiaries receive in their facility. Our teams will continuously strive to modernize these systems, while improving them in ways that reduce provider burden and minimize costs to CMS. We do this through HCD and Service design practices, product thinking, and skilled engineering. As a Senior Engineer:- Influence: Makes an impact on the whole team, not just on specific parts of it.

- System: Owns the technical design, development, maintenance, and operational responsibilities for one or more projects or products.

These are the types of things you'll be working on - Use GoLang, Python, and Java experience to develop, deploy, and maintain backend applications
- Version control using Git and GitHub
- CI/CD processes using Jenkins
- Frontend development using, Angular, HTML, and TypeScript
- Database development using SQL (PostgreSQL)
- Cloud infrastructure with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience with GoLang, Python, Angular/TypeScript, and Java (at least 3)
- Frontend development experience with frameworks like Angular, React, Vue, etc.
- Cloud Experience (ideally AWS)
- Experience in Agile development methodology
- Experience with IaC ideally Terraform
- Knowledge of end-to-end fully automated CI/CD pipelines, from committing code to deploying to production
- Relational Database experience
Desired Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS Lambda and AWS Glue
- Experience with Jenkins
- AWS Certifications
