Job Description:

This job is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes. Key responsibilities of the job include delivering complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies, providing technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations, and applying both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Additionally, this job is accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.

Consumer Vehicle Lending Technology (CVLT) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineer to lead complex strategic initiatives and drive AI innovation across the Consumer Vehicle Lending Technology (CVLT) platform. This role requires strong technical leadership, architectural expertise, and execution excellence to deliver scalable, resilient, and business-focused solutions that support CVLT modernization and growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures that the design and engineering approach for complex features are consistent with the larger portfolio solution
  • Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate and adapt new testing tool/framework/practices for team(s)
  • Enables team(s)/applications with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities and engages with other technical stakeholders pertaining to efficient functioning of CI-CD pipeline
  • Guides and influences team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance -e.g. pairing, code reviews
  • Provides end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation, for either a single team or multiple teams, at the program level
  • Conducts research, design prototyping and other exploration activities such as evaluating new toolsets and components for release management, CI/CD, and features
  • Works with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements
  • Support platform modernization efforts and help shape the long-term technology roadmap for CVLT.
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Drive AI and automation innovation by leveraging Enterprise AI tools, GitHub Copilot, and emerging technologies to improve engineering productivity and business outcomes.
  • Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership for scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
  • Own end-to-end solution design, ensuring alignment with business and technology strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate delivery, operational, and technology risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Partner with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to ensure seamless cross-channel integration and execution.
  • Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience.
  • Proven success leading enterprise-scale modernization and transformation initiatives.
  • Expertise in application architecture, distributed systems, APIs, cloud-enabled platforms, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, architecture, product, and business organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying AI-powered engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot and Enterprise AI platforms to accelerate development, enhance solution quality, and drive innovation.
  • Strong experience with technologies such as .NET, Java/Spring Boot, Angular, OpenShift/Kubernetes, microservices, and developer productivity tooling.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive organization-wide technical decisions.

  • Proven ability to identify, champion, and implement AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable business value for CVLT.
  • Experience driving modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong experience applying Enterprise AI, automation, and engineering productivity tools to Line of Business (LOB) use cases.
