Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience developing, testing, and integrating related products with proven results.
• High level of self-initiative with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven team leadership experience working collaboratively across all levels of an organization.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to build rapport with others.
• Flexibility to travel to customer, supplier, and Rehrig Pacific facilities as needed up to 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, prototyping, and testing of automation and material handling solutions across multiple projects.
• Create designs including 3D models and safety features, ensuring manufacturability with partners in manufacturing and tooling.
• Conduct validation testing to prepare products for customer implementation.
• Drive adherence to Rehrig Pacific's phase gate process across project teams and improve NPD practices.
• Lead supplier evaluation and expand the supplier base for warehouse automation solutions.
• Facilitate cross-functional design reviews, representing engineering perspectives to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior Electromechanical Design Engineers and contribute to training curriculum.
