About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Manager to join our MEP Building Technology Team in our Atlanta, GA office and provide strategic and technical leadership for the development and execution of integrated electrical solutions. This position is responsible for engineering team leadership, design execution, product standardization, manufacturing readiness, quality oversight, client engagement, and coordination with external engineering partners throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ability to lead, develop, mentor, and evaluate engineering personnel while establishing a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
  • Working knowledge of mission critical electrical equipment including medium voltage systems, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, busway, power distribution equipment, controls systems, and associated vendor requirements.
  • Ability to establish engineering standards and provide final technical review and approval of engineering deliverables prior to release for procurement and manufacturing.
  • Experience establishing and enforcing engineering quality processes including design reviews, first-of-a-kind reviews, lessons learned implementation, and engineering standards development.
  • Experience leading the engineering, design, coordination, and execution of complex mission critical projects, including cross-functional teams, integrated product development, design deliverables, and manufacturing-ready solutions.
  • Experience developing standardized, repeatable electrical products and design platforms for deployment across multiple projects and clients.
  • Ability to integrate engineering and manufacturing requirements to produce designs optimized for fabrication, assembly, transportation, installation, commissioning, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Ability to develop engineering execution plans, resource forecasts, and workload management strategies to support multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, contractors, consultants, equipment suppliers, and internal project stakeholders.
  • Ability to proactively identify, communicate, mitigate, and document engineering, schedule, procurement, constructability, manufacturing, and commissioning risks.
  • Ability to lead and manage the engineering, development, standardization, and execution of integrated electrical products including Modular Electrical Rooms (MERs), Electrical Equipment Skids, Modular Hot Aisle containment, and other prefabricated mission critical solutions.
  • Understands principles of professional service agreements, subcontract agreements, owner contracts, delegated design scopes, and associated contractual risks.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate external engineering consultants, vendors, equipment manufacturers, and delegated design partners to deliver complete, coordinated, and manufacturing-ready solutions.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications with primary experience with electrical and controls scope of work. Understanding and able to reference and apply National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and requirements.
  • Ability to conduct cross-discipline drawing coordination and design completion/quality reviews specifically for the MEP disciplines.
  • Can contribute constructability, technical expertise, and engineering solutions to a project's design evolution.
  • Ability to manage vendor's and subcontracted design firms in the completion of integrated design concepts to finalize products ready for manufacturing.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, mission critical design, integrated product development, engineering management, or related leadership positions.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related construction or engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred though not required. Employer-sponsored professional development opportunities, including reimbursement for approved training materials, certification courses, and certification examination fees.
  • Extensive experience with hyperscale data centers, mission critical facilities, industrial infrastructure, power systems, or complex integrated electrical projects strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to mentorship, employee development, and team building through coaching, knowledge sharing, constructive feedback, and the creation of growth opportunities for engineering personnel.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
