Stanley Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to work in our Minneapolis, MN Office. In this position, you will work as a discipline lead or project engineer on a variety of Energy, Infrastructure, Federal, and International Projects. The projects are of varying sizes and locations for higher education, utility, federal, municipal, and industrial clients.
What You Will Be Doing:
• This person would manage and perform electrical projects.
• Work would include:
• Electrical system analysis namely load flow, short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies.
• Electrical design in accordance with the NEC, including providing power to mechanical building systems.
• Campus distribution and building LV systems.
Stanley Consultants is currently working on several large projects in the USA and overseas. Person applying for a position would be given the chance to work on a wide variety of challenging projects.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited College or University.
• Professional engineering license and 8-12 years of experience in electrical consulting engineering.
• Designing medium voltage systems (4.16kV, 12.47kV and 13.8kV) and equipment such as pad mount switches, switchgear and transformers.
• Designing low voltage systems (208Y/120V, 480Y/277V) for industrial and higher education facilities.
• High proficiency in developing electrical engineering drawings and specifications.
• Thorough understanding in the application of National Electrical Code, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 780 Standard for Installation of Lightning Protection Systems, NFPA 110 Emergency and Standby Power Systems
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer programs: ETAP, SKM or Easypower; AGI Lighting Software
• AutoCAD/Revit a plus
$139,500 - $185,550 a year
